Lordy, can the 2008 festival REALLY be less than 48 hours away? Here's your chance to post your thoughts on:
•shows you want to see
•shows you're part of
•the festival itself as it enters Year Four
•and anything else you want to say about Infringement '08.

I am excited to see- Unsave: The Last Dance by Aaron Piepszny (who won Artvoice's '08 Best of Buffalo 'Best Dancer'+ 'Best Genre-Defying Artist).
Last year, there was a blog that reads as below:
Architecture's Sister (by Aaron Piepszny)
I had a vibe that this might be my "Wow!" performance of the festival, but I didn't know how wow.
One of my favorite concepts is the appropriation of space, as applied to relationships, buildings, movement, whatever.
From at least a theoretical standpoint, one of my favorite mediums (as an audience member) is dance, as it's simultaneously, absolutely, abstract and concrete. (In practice, it's really music, for its emotional/visceral impact)
Aaron Piepszny's ability to take up and move through space are beyond my descriptive powers. Let somebody else take up that task; comments, please.
Follow this guy. He's brilliant.
Check the schedule for when to see in these waning hours.

See Piepszny in his growing out from the roots of Buffalo shows (AKA farewell), in bigger spaces than he's ever in Infringement had, ALT Theatre (7-26-08@ 4:30PM) and Allendale Theatre (7-27-08@ 3:30PM). Not to be missed.
No comments - just wanted to note that I have photos of a few events on flickr, and will be adding more as the festival continues.
Two-fold objective in going to see Aaron Piepszny yesterday @ ALT Theatre: a.guaranteed moving and astounding performance by an artist who is the real deal.(no risk on the part of the audience; which isn't always characteristic of the rest of the 'fest) I've never seen anyone articulate themselves physically as precisely as he does. and
b. oogle the space (as venue czar, sorta/shoulda be familiar with these things). GREAT space!!! Off the beaten Allentown track, but worth the trot. Looks like it's flexible enough to accomodate dance/theatre/music, plus it's in another of these great old warehouses that Buffalo abounds in. Go.
